Beige Tiles
The word ‘beige’ is often referred to as a bad thing, implying that something is dull, pedestrian, or ordinary. But when it comes to beige tiles, nothing could be further from the truth. Not only does this colour bring a sense of warmth to a space, but it beautifully complements other colours, allowing them to shine through while working with them in perfect harmony.

Why Are Beige Tiles a Good Choice for Kitchens and Bathrooms?
While you may think that beige is a bit of a boring colour for a kitchen or bathroom, there are actually several good reasons why you should consider it. Firstly, beige tiles offer a classic, timeless look that exudes sophistication without feeling outdated. Likewise, they are extremely versatile and pair well with loads of other colours and materials, whether you’re going for a spa-like zen ambience or a bold, vibrant feel.
Another great thing about beige tiles is that they have a reflective quality that brings a bright, airy feel to a room. This makes them a particularly good choice for smaller kitchens and bathrooms, where they’ll give the illusion of space and brightness as well as highlight the freshness and cleanliness of the room.
Beige tiles also do a very good job of hiding stains and dirt compared to other lighter colours, which in areas such as bathrooms and kitchens where splashes and stains are inevitable, is an excellent thing to have.
What Colours Go Well With Beige Tiles?
Whether you’re trying to create a classic, clean look or want to use beige as a backdrop for bolder colours to shine through, beige tiles are extremely versatile, and they pair well with a wide range of other colours.
Some of the most popular colour pairing with beige tiles include:
- White
- Grey
- Navy Blue
- Light Blue

How Do You Keep Beige Tiles Clean?
While beige tiles do a better job of camouflaging dirt than some other lighter colours, you’ll still need to clean them regularly to keep them looking good and to extend their lifespan. Luckily, this isn’t very hard or time-consuming and can be done in a few easy steps:
- Start by dusting the surface of your tiles with a microfiber cloth to remove any loose dirt and debris and create a cleaner surface to work on.
- Mix together some warm water and a bleach-free detergent. Soak a sponge in this, then ring it out so it’s slightly damp, then wash the tiles using a circular motion to loosen any stubborn grime,
- Dry the tiles using a clean microfiber cloth. Again, use a circular motion when doing this, as this will help to prevent streaks and watermarks from forming.
- Take this opportunity to check the grouting, and if need be, use a grout pen to freshen it up, making sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
